How is everyone sampling on the MPC studio

How is everyone sampling on the MPC studio

Just curious to how every does it. I know on the REN you have more ports etc but on the studio you only have midi in midi out which are 3.5 jack ports.

As you can tell I havent tried sampling yet, but wanted to get into it. whats the best way of doing it while getting a good quality recording of the sample?

You don't use the MPC Studio itself.

MIDI is not audio.

You use either the built-in audio inputs on your computer, or preferably, for better quality, a good quality internal sound card or an external audio interface on your computer.

Your mixer is firewire and/or usb then correct?
Most likely able to be used as an audio device on your computer then.

It is a usb powered mixer. To be exact I'm using a Pioneer DDJ SR controller as my audio input device since it has it's own built-in audio interface. From the controller it's wired straight to the monitors

In short, if it's playing thru my PC, I can sample it, MPC or not....

I have used "rec sample' within MPC software, with my MPC studio, but most of the time, I have audacity or sound forge open and I record whatever is playing thru my usb mixer into my laptop (turntable, smartphone, mic, etc...)

Once it's on my system, I open it i on studio (Or simply drag it to MPC window)
