microKORG's and mpc's?

somebody please help me! i have just purchased a brand new microKORG and want to use it with my mpc's sequencer. for some reason it won't play the sounds through the sequencer midi track. why is this? am i doing something wrong? i've tried to find a solution in the manual but that things like reading a greek bible! (i don't know greek) i also want to run my emu esi32 through the sequencer. if there is a god out there (ahem! mpc tutor)could you please shed some light on this problem

Make sure you got the midi cables hooked up correctly, korg out to mpc in1/mpc out A to korg in. In the main screen on the mpc select midi:1A-device1. Set the korg to midi channel 1. Make sure to turn off lacal control on the korg. To play the E-mu through the mpc hook up a midi cable from the mpc midi out B to the emu midi in, to sequence these sounds select mdi device 1b-16b on the mpc.
