Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

am i the only one who sits at the MPC and makes shit from scratch on JUST the MPC?? Like, id rather sample sounds from my triton into my MPC, tap tempo and just go as if its a sample.

This seems to work fine for me, what other stuff do you use in conjunction with your MPC?

I use ONLY the MPC very rarely, I just find it easier to use whatever I have that's easier to get what I want done. Not saying that I can't use ONLY the MPC cause I most certainly can but usually I don't..

My MPC is all I use . But my sh!t is to throw my drums into a 12 bit and dump 'em back into the MPC , crunch-crunch .

chopping things like samples and riffs are the hardest thing in the world to me, but then I don't have a 2k xl with all the time strech features to make my samples blend smoothly, ya'll must be some seasoned vets

i never use timestretch. its all about those zones, and the sustain you can achieve through different teqs.

Sometimes I use the ASR-10 with it... But got allot of MPC-Only beats.

I use only my XL. I have a Yamaha PSR keyboard but it's just collecting dust. I only use it for bass sometimes. I don't even know what model it is.

all I use is my MPC2000xl ,and vinyl records for sampling elements over beats, I don't have any other gear to work with , no keyboard, sound mod. ,or no other outboard gear, gives me more of an creative edge...

All I use is my Classic and mainly vinyl. For other sh*t I'll sample sounds from a sound module or keyboard and play them on the MPC using a midi keyboard (Oxygen8).

yep, all I use is my mpc as well. I don't have anything else to use, but old records and that. I think sometimes people get more creative when they have less options, but that's just my opinion, use what you've got...

I definitely use only the XL, vinyl and a couple cheap CPU programs. I've been browsing for a keyboard or soound mod, but nothing has enticed me like the MPC once did. Plus after using only the MPC, incorporating synth sounds would be like mixin' oil and water.
