Using a physical mixer with the mpc

I need to get either a mixer or an audio interface so i can use my mic along with it, would i be able to mix tracks on the mpc with the mixer like load my kicks and snares and such into it to EQ and touch up the volume levels? i know you can do that with the mpc alone but i just wanna know if its worth it to get a mixer or just a simple audio interface.

and my buddy has an m audio audio interface with phantom power (the behringer mixer has the same)
lastly, i also have drums i may eventually want to buy drum mics for and i have a casio keyboard i can probably hook up to the mixer ??
any feed backs helpful i just dont want to buy one thing then realize id be better off with the other.

i have a behringer mic and its trash. starting not to like that brand

instead of wasting your money for a cheap mixer with bad Eq`s invest your money in a good soundcard. do you have the mpc ren ?then you have already a soundcard.

i have the studio, and i have an asio soundcard downloaded to my computer or whatever

I use an Allen & Heath ZED40-16 with my MPC 1000 (plus a few other sources as they are needed) and it works like a charm. I'm sure the mixer is overkill for this one application but it will definitely get the job done.
