I'm about to buy this. It'll be used about 50% as a standalone beat idea pad (all samples), and 50% as a sample-slice sound module with my DAW and triggered from my keyboard. Basically, I hate cutting up samples on my DAW and the non-desctructive editing is a dream for someone like me who constantly chops and re-chops stuff throughout the sequencing process.

Before I drop the cash, are there any limitations or bugs you think that I should be aware of? Checked the JJOS website and it seems like it's been quiet for a few months, is JJ taking a break? What are your favorite and least favorite aspects of OS128XL?

I've seen the comparison chart thanks.

My question wasn't about comparing JJOS versions, but whether or not there were undocumented issues or workflow "kinks" that people feel are unresolved in OS128XL. For example, is the sequencer timing real loose in OS128XL? These types of things.

Ive never used jjos before the 128 but all the pages are laid differently and it has some features that i dont know what they do exactly exactly. Whats great about it is "program mode" while im in the "trim" screen. What i dnt like is there is no "non-destructive" chop feature.
