Some tips to make youre own sounds .

i was just skatin a lil mini ramp and i hit a rock goin up the side and banged the fuk ou tof the side of my knee on the concrete....put me back for a while then came winter and right as winter was endin i broke my collarbone ......

so i hadnt skated for a while i wasnt able to get back into it really

Get A Cheap Head Phone and use the left portion as a Mic adjust the volume and them tap or rub it (basslines or some odd ish)

Get a Flexible comb and run it off or on a table an sample(Cool)

take a Piano Hit or Chord and Pitch it WAY Down then Play Ya Drum On top.

Fry some Eggs Etc. and Sample it .

Blow Gum Bubbles And Sample.

take a pot and a large servin' spoon and run circles .

i once sampled up a kit from a skate video using various sounds effects, like wheels and grinds against different surfaces. mad some real percussive industrial robot stuff.

Kitchen and bathroom are always good places to start..

my fav, is a fine tooth comb wrapped in foil and making sounds with your mouth while your lips are touching it.

do some kanye west beats with some healium balloons.

get some real high pitched shit...at least it would be original.

i just figured this one out:

take a FM transmitter...those ones you hook up to ipods, so that it transmits on a freq, and you can pick up the signal on your car stereo. You can buy them at walmart for like 20 bucks.

anyways, hook it up with a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter and transmit drum loops. Transmit them to your moms old stereo, and record it onto tape.

I noticed when i do this (with out recording to tape) the sound has a wierd compressed sound to it, like its tighter-kinda hard to explain, but it definately gives it some character.

ohh. i just got an ipod. im bout to get that itrip joint too. i heard there are cracks for it so u can take over others stations.

If you REALLY smack it just right you can get both sounds at the same time.

MULTISAMPLING HAHA

go outside....turn on your car's engine.....open up the hood.....stick your hand in the fan.....and sample it.......you got to get it right the first time or you are not gonna be able to sample it
