I guess you can but the problem woukd be that although the surface is mutitouch, I don't think mpc software is multitouch ready, so of you are looking for a impc style response you won't get it.

Yes I was hoping that it would have an impc style response with the Surface.Thanks

anyone using any other DAWs with the surface pro 3?

Theres not a lot of DAW's with a built in mutli-touch interface try google for more info. Sonar has incorporated one is ok to use although not great on surface 2 not sure about 3. Abelton doesn't have one and is terrible to use, Bitwig seems to work ok.
