saving and loading ( i already read the manual)

this question is for mpc1000 and jjos2x

i tried everything in the manual to no result so i am posting here.

I have my sequences and songs made and i want to save them. i make a folder (lets call it "test")


go to the save page and save the following into "test" [I also name each one test so i know which song]

1. pad mode assign
2. entire memory 2
3. all the samples from "A SAMPLE"
4. all programs
5. line patterns and pattern bank

according to the manual just number 2 above is needed, i tried that on its own as well.

turn off mpc and back on and load to folder test. the sequence loads but no sound and no samples assigned to the pads they were originally assigned. basically an empty sequence

any help please

First back up your drives (HD, CF) and format them within JJOS on MPC, not computer.
Reset your system - hold Erease while powering on and hold it few secs.
