Transoniq Hacker (1985-1999) - The independent News Magazine for Ensoniq Users

Image

The Transoniq Hacker was an independent monthly newsletter for users of Ensoniq products published by Eric Geislinger. It provides a goldmine of info and tips for all Ensoniq synth/ sampler owners from the Mirage up to the ASR-X. Unfortunatley this link mostly includes the earlier editions of the newsletter. There were 173 issues in total, 001 (1985) - 073 (July 1991) and 112 (October 1994) are available at the link below. There was no Internet in those days, so this must have been a godsend to suscribers.

If you find links to the missing editions 074-111 and 113-173 please post 'em here.

I love reading stuff like this, I didn't know jack about music production, synths or samplers ten years ago. Don't know if there was anything similar for Akai owners before the Internet opened things up.

Back then when you purchased your new S-950 it came with a subscription to the PAN Network.

I would considering a Ensoniq Mirage if someone would leak those things for download :)

Most Mirage info was contained within M.U.G.
