im trying to set up a home studio base around the following mpc1000 music pc with cubase reason and sound forge......and yeah just got some couple of monitors, is there any software/equipment that i might also consider? thanks.

If you're into sampling (and since you posted in the Crate Diggers forum, i suppose you are) Recycle should be high on your X-mas list.
It allows you to chop samples into small bits, and play them back at different tempo.
Reason also imports Recycle files, and you could also load them in your mpc.

just got myself a yamaha aw16g and im just getting to know the button manuals and stuff

u dont need nuthing else, make ur beats on the mpc then master them in soundforge, all the chopping into zones u can do on the mpc surely.

YO Get INTO That Sound Forge I Don't Know Which Version Ya Got But
you need version 6.0 or better If Master it you'll SHOCK yourself.
