Has anybody had success with 2 MPC's at the same time?

Whats up MPCForums havnt been here in a while, because i was discouraged with the mpc game after my 2500 malfunctioned. But on to the main topic my 2500 is back and running and now i have 2 mpcs (2500,5000). I just want to know can i send music from to the other through midi, and any other benefits of midi sync between 2 mpc's. Any feedback would greatly appreciated, thanks.

You can midi them up and essentially double your sample time that way. This doesn't make sense with newer models tho, since you already have all the sample time (RAM) you need in each machine.

Can't really think of a scenario where connecting them through midi would be helpful... then again, i make VERY simple music with my MPC.

Get creative, try it out and see where it gets you?

I actually tried to get them to sync through midi numerous times and i thought i could record notes from MP to the other. Problem is i havnt had any success getting them to recognize each other and now my 5000 wont track into logic, only the 2500 will. I though this was supposed to be simple lol.

It's only simple if everything works correctly and/or
you have past experience and/or when you stop over analyzing things, and/or
you install a flux capacitor, THEN it's simple.

I use two mpc2500's as my main setup and find it a great way to work for me .
I should say at this point there is no computer in the music making process and it is only used to record a stereo master .
One mpc is the master and and the other on midi slave with various other drum machines , synths and samplers .
The master mpc will usually be used for drums and bass and I will try and keep this sequence short until the arrangement stage , this mpc will also be driving most of my mid gear .

I'll only mention the mpc stuff here , so the 2nd mpc is on slave and this one will be sequencing an analog synth with midi in out to it . Now when I want to sample/record anything I will normally chose the 2nd mpc because I don't need to stop the main sequence to do it and when I'm editing in the sample window the 1st ones still playing not killing the vibe .

Now here's the catch . The 1st mpc is akai 1.3 software and the 2nd akai 1.4 . Now this is because it does not work the other way about and if I use the 1.4 the be master on say a mc909 or other mpc or anything else I've tried the start timing is unusable .
And if I have the 1.3 machine on slave to anything else the timing is unusable again . I can only think this is an akai os thing and it does piss me off.
I probably work different to most but the first setup I listed does work well , two mpc's sending and receiving midi working tightly together is a nice way to work for me .
