Greetings fellow MPC heads,
I'm unsure if this particular forum is appropriate for posting my Sample-Pack/Kit I have for sale (so, Moderators - feel free to move, advise or delete if it's not allowed). Here goes...
A while back I recorded/sampled my TR909 drum machine, at every single line-setting and combination of those settings. And, this sample-set I have made, is now available for purchase. It is my first (and, most likely going to be my only) sample-pack I have made and that will be for sale.
This 909 sample pack/set is one of the most versatile around, given it is huge, containing over 8,900 individual drum hits and captures every line-setting and combination of those settings, of the Roland TR-909 Drum Machine.
I want to and will try to price them fairly, based on the amount/number of drum hits (which mine contain very many of), sample quality, sample-making/production/business-experience (which I have none of) and also any special extra analog processing that others offer (which my samples don't have and are completely unprocessed and Dry).
Given the high number of samples included in my sample pack, but with zero extra analog processing, I have priced mine in the middle of other 909 sample packs currently available - priced less than the nicer sample packs out there that offer easy daw compatibility, various analog processing and were made by more experienced sample pack makers (but, those may still contain much less individual hits than mine); and, priced a little more than the sample packs out there that only contain a couple hundred drum hits.

Roland TR-909 Drum Machine Sample Set & Recordings
Features:
- Every "line" setting & combination captured with 1, long, continuous recording per drum voice (20-40 mins each).
- Unprocessed, Dry, No Colorization, Distortion nor FX.
- Not normalized & Uncompressed.
- Recorded at a humble -12 to -6 db.
- Recorded with Audacity and a Presonus audio interface.
- Recorded at 32-bit float (intermediate) with 16- & 24-bit files (final results).
- High Quality AIFF & WAV files.
- Over 2GB.
- Over 8,900 individual drum hits.
- Includes both continuous long recordings and individually chopped/spliced hits.
Recording Method:
Recorded at every single “line” setting, and every possible combo of, at 120bpm, as if it were a clock, continuously until I captured every setting and combination.
ie: I moved the knobs (1-3 knobs depending on voice) per voice as if it were a clock after every 4 beats on each line/setting (instead of actual seconds as on a clock).
Kick example: Tune knob = hours, attack knob = minutes, decay knob = seconds; moved after every 4th beat, per line/setting ..etc. Gradually going from full-ccw to full-clockwise, and then all the way back to full-ccw after every full clockwise sweep, for each knob at each of the preceding/neighboring knobs’ setting, until I captured every single setting and combination of each drum voice.
The kick & snare recording files are the longest at about 40 minutes (since those have the most knobs - 3 knobs), toms around 20-30 minutes each (2 knobs), etc.
The original AIFF continuously-recorded files were recorded with Audacity default settings of 44.1k 32-bit float (which is the “intermediate-step” before being downsampled (final-step) to 24 or 16 bit integer; and, results in a higher quality recording than recording in 24 or 16 bit integer -Carla Schroder). The final result of these particular samples (after the intermediate-step recording at 32-bit float) is 16 and 24 bit files. The chopped versions and drum hits are 24-bit WAV files. The long continuous drum voice recordings are 16-bit AIFF files.
Licensing:
The samples and recordings contained in this sample pack are free to use in both free and commercial audio projects, video projects, etc. Re-distributing any part of this drum recording sample library (including commercial apps, programs and plug-ins) or claiming the included recordings as your own is strictly prohibited.
