HELP!!!

First of all, you guys will have to forgive me for this post, I'm sure that the answer is in here somewhere, and I could probably find it if I searched a little. Here's my problem... When I power on my 2000xl, the screen is blank. This has happened before, then I just reload the OS and it usually works. Keep in mind that I have never used this MPC other than to just power it on then reload the OS and then put it away. It has been stored for about 3 years now, but I want to start using it. The reason it isn't giving me the option to load the OS from disk is because the floppy disk drive wont turn on. I hit the power switch and it blinks, then nothing. I hope I'm being clear here. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Sounds like the drive is toast. Most 1.4mb floppy drives you'll find in an old PC will work fine as a replacement. Look around in the Salvation Army or Goodwill stores for a cheap replacement. No sense paying much unless you find NOS (New Old Stock) somewhere on ebay.
