Sequence change by program change

Does the 500 have this feature? Or is there any other way to change sequences via midi?

unfortunatly the mpc500 can't do that.

you can change sequences live with the mpc pads, just press sequence, then hold down numeric, then press the pad with the corresponding sequence number.

or if you want to play in sync with another sequencer you can just use song mode.

or you can resample your sequences and play them via midi from another sequencer.

bummer. i hoped i could just setup my main midi foot controller for that. the button combo sounds pretty complicated as well.

i am just programming the thing, my bandmate will be playing the mpc live, so i need a more retard-friendly method i guess I'll set it up to just use the track mutes then.

or alternatively get me a 1000, but i don't like the extra size.
