no sound from pads

I'm using a mpc 4000 and after I create a new program of sliced samples I get no sound from the pads. I selected the program I created. Nothing is muted. I can hear the samples in region.

I'm coming from 1000 using jjos so this is a bit of a learning curve for me. Is it possible the previous user has something to do with it or am I missing a step? I chopped the samples and made a new program and they are assigned to the pads but when I leave the sample list and choose my program on the main screen it does not play anything, even if I load samples from my external, it will play but not when I assign it. I'm missing something. I'd appreciate any assistance.

I've watched the video and now better understand multis but it doesn't explain how to get your sounds to play. Thanks for the link though. I have my sample on pads and I switched the monitor in program to multi..I even messed around with the monitor setting in sample..still nothing..any ideas?

How do I link my program so that I can hear the sounds? No one has explained how to do so I've searched the forums. I can't download off my computer so the manual is out of the question. Someone please help me! I have been dealing with this issue for a while now.

Can someone please help me get started I read plenty of topics but nothing works. I will make a video if it's easier for you see what I'm doing wrong.

I take it back... it wasn't easy to see what's going on at all.

What's happening in the Mixer screen? Specifically the 'Out' section under Part?

They are all LR.. All the settings are standard when you turn the 4k on no auto saves.. Sorry about the video I'm basically showing how the clap auditions but won't play when assigned to a pad.

I just noticed your other thread about the machine locking up. It's possible the issues are related, so I'd get that one sorted first and take it from there.

Load some factory content and try messing with that.

I'm not seeing any factory sounds only my external drive is showing up.. There's a program preloaded but the sounds won't play

Then download the factory disk and try loading stuff from it.

Ima scrap it and get another can't seem to find a solution to this problem..thanks for trying to help though.**never purchasing a used mpc again, it ruined my 4k experience.**
