problem when i try to up date the Mpc software 1.7

It's the 1.10 firmware I got from the site. It says that it sends the info to the Ren hardware itself from the computer, and that I may need to restart it to take effect. But when I restart the hardware I get a popup message on the computer screen saying I still have the old firmware.

dude **** the update

just download the main one first. or if you have the cd even better.. install it. open it and it should inform you that 1.7.2 is out which came out today. then just upgrade with that and see it works.

i know when you first install the mpc there is a part wehre it says you gota keep shift press or some bllshit like that on the mpc until the install says to let it go.

anyways try that first.

Yeah that's for the MPC software. Which I did update today. But the firmware is different correct?

Also I read that some people are just having issues with the 1.10 version. (Basically the same one I am having.) Does anyone have an earlier version I could use to update to? Right now I am on version 1.

No the new version of the FIRMWARE is 1.10. I have 1.01.
And yes Akai just got back to me and wants a screenshot. But there is nothing to show them. Again it tells me that the firmware should be updated and to restart the hardware. When I do it just tells me on the computer screen the firmware is out of date and that I am using 1.01.
