^ i like the idea. Tempo is nice. But too much off key. Piano especially. Suggest spending a lot of time developing your ear for what's in key and what's not. A good way to do it is to focus on sample-based music. Just by nature of sampled tracks, most of your resulting beat should be on key. Gotta really learn that man.

The first one. Chops are too abrupt. Makes it difficult to vibe too. Would pick different samples to combine so the transition between them is smoother. Study Kanye west. Not a fan of his stuff. But his chopping game is smooth. And if Kanye is too commercial for you, listen to damu the fudgemonk.

The second one is better. Like my comment earlier, spend some time on key. The bass is off.

Not necessarily sound "longer". you have one sample (with vibes) repeating three times, then sound like a horn hit that comes in. The horn hit, IMO, is a bit off time and abrupt. Just a feeling I get, so others may not agree. The vibes sample that repeats three times is smooth, then the horn hit is more abrupt. IMO it creates a conflict of the overall feel of the track. It may just be a sequencing thing - maybe just another sequence pattern... hard to say without being there with those samples.

I like your drums. They sound good.

Yes, that intro maybe kind of meh,i think so too. There is actually bassline on the main
part of beat. What kind of monitors are you using there?
I chopped that sample and made it loop differently. Scratch sound is from the loop library.

I will check your beat later when i get off from work.

Drums are fine too,but gets too messy at the end.
