For those of you out there who are having trouble with the MPC Software error drive A: not ready, close door... Here is the solution...

Step 1: Click cancel, many times, until your MPC Software launches, and it will after a bunch of cancels... (it took roughly 10 cancels for mine to launch)

Step 2: Look towards top left where it has 5 folder icons, with folder icon 1 selected use the drop down arrow below these icons to navigate to a new folder where your stuff is saved, can be any location

Step 3: Once at your favourite folder hold down SHIFT on your keyboard and then click on the folder icon 1 again (this will save that new folder location as the default for that folder icon)

Step 4: Repeat the above steps 2 and 3, and change all folder icon numbers to a new location other than A: (You may find your software freezes when selecting a new folder icon number and you will have to hit cancel a bunch of times again until it unfreezes and you are able to navigate to your new folders for that number)

Hope that makes sense.

PS, I updated my software after doing this and had to do it all over again, so if you are new to the software like I am, update it as soon as you are able to do that, and then do the above if you are getting this error. Saves you time lol

Right now I have to figure out how to use this MPC Studio!

@pituchez - Yeah it does suck a bit really. I have it all up and running now and I must admit it is a powerful piece of software, but I should've check the specs because I am looking for the headphone port only to now realise it is not as mobile as I had hoped. LOL I have the MPC1000 before and I loved the fact that I could take it anywhere and bang out the beats, now though I am stuck to my desk with the Studio. I will need to get a laptop I think and move it all on there so I can be mobile... :-)
