The same as any sample in the history of drum machines would, unless it's patched phrase. This is nothing new!

FYI BDRAKE

Until that feature comes you can take a midi file, and drag & drop it onto the sample list on the bottom right of the main screen.

It will ask if you want to add it to a new sequence. Say yes. Then you go to the new seq, and copy the midi data from track one of that seq.

then got back to the seq, and track you wanted to import to, and paste the midi data... it works every time for me.

Thanks but Im already aware of that and have done so but it sucks so I drag it into cubase instead now. It sucks that we cant do this. Its a very basic feature and makes for a better workflow. I stay inspired with less steps. That's just ridiculous to have that many steps to pull a midi file in.

Still I'm very patient and love what I'm seeing with 1.8, I cant wait to try this out.

nice. i didn't know this. But for me, the midi im tryin to drag into the project is from a plugin. I got addictive drums and love to use some of the midi files for the fills they got. I used to do it on FL but didn't think it worked on the mpc software. I just tried your method and it seems to work except when you drag the file from the plugin you cant access the sequence menu youre talkin about. once that prompt comes up it's behind the plugin and the plugin cant be moved over while there is a promt up. can't figure out how click on the 'load into sequence' window.

on windows 8, idk if its different on the mac.

im getting an mpc tattoo..no joke.

Chord Mode and Non Destructive chop are great and I'll be using those features right away. I just hope bpm detection makes it to 1.8. Like the 4000.

I'd still love to see pingpong/alterating loop.
After that, I wouldn't have much left to ask for.
