multiple "types" on one track

I have the Renaissance and 4k and was wondering does anyone on the forum in contact with akai dev team know if they're any plans to add another "type" like the MPC 4000 has two "parts" on a track, so you can easily ayer sounds.

You can already easily layer sounds on each pad.

Are you talking about Simul Play: on the MPC4000, where it plays a second seqeunce at the same time as the first sequence?

No I'm talking about lets say you have two vst available on one track so you could play both if you wanted to combine to make a whole new patch. On the 4000 you could for instance use a program from the 4000 and layer it with via midi with another sound to create a new sound and have them both play at the same time on the same track.
Not sure if any other MPC ever did that.

So you set each track to the same midi channel?

ie

track 1 is midi channel 2
track 4 is midi channel 2

when you set midi controller to output to midi channel 2 it plays track 2 and 4 so create a instrument layer?

If we can get multitimbral input for mpc software then it can be possible... I dont think this is possible yet....

if you kept the same midi track and used sampletank or Kontokt. then you would be able to just stack different instruments and save as a multi.

Another great 4k only feature people seem to overlook.
Would be nice if they added it.

Adversary you feel me! I was trying to post pics to explain better what I was talking about for peeps who never had the 4k. I find that if makes it a lot easier to layer sounds for tracks and even layer and resample to make new sounds. Maybe they'll consider it. Would be curious to get Hellfires take on it.
