Use different tracks for different rates.
Example - 2 bars
Tracks 1 - 5 percussion
Create your synth instrument into:
Track 6, LFO rate of 1/4 for Steps 3, 7 ... Copy instrument to, Track 7
Track 7, LFO Rate of 1/8 for Step 11 ... Copy instrument to, Track 8
Track 8, LFO Rate of 1/16 for Step 13
3 Tracks the same sound but different, LFO Rates
This also makes nice for change of sound within your copied intruments. Lots of times when a slower, LFO Rate is played the instrument changes into a grimer or thicker sound. Of course this can be arranged to your taste. And although it isn't the hands on motion sequencing we desired with this purchase this seems to be the most efficient way of working around the lack of common sense with the program. Using the effects bus for your, Q-Link LFO doesn't do exactly what the built in, LFO does and to cut off the sound the way you want you'd have to do this process anyway.
I hoped this helped you out if you haven't figured it out already. I am waiting for my USB / MIDI interface to see if I can MIDI this problem with, Ableton. If I haven't learned by then that you can't you will hear from me again.
