only hearing double triggering but not being recorded??

Hi so i had issues with my mpc 1000 double triggering. when i would play it it would double trigger very quickly. looked up on here how to fix and majority said it was a issue with how you play (only doesnt double trigger if i hit it obnoxiously hard). so im wondering why am i hearing double triggering but when i record it into my daw there is no double triggering being printed?

Try lifting your finger off the pad as soon as you hit it, often the double triggering seems to happen when the finger is left on the pad after a hit, and it bounces on the pad after the initial hit, creating a second hit very close to the first.


When you say that there is no double triggering printed into your DAW, is that after you have recorded the pad hits into the MPC sequencer? Are you playing back a recorded sequence into the DAW or live MPC pad playing?

Maybe the double triggers are being removed due to the resolution, or timing correct/quantize settings, of the MPC (or DAW) sequencer?

apparently i cant figure out how to hit it......this is extremely frustrating. and yes it only happens when i record it in live. this machine has already been more of a pain in the ass than anything else..cant even load samples to pads (yes i RTFM and it just gives me a wrong file message)

Are the samples you are trying to load into the MPC in the 44.1kHz/16 bit .WAV file format?

that seemed to be the issue but the double triggering is still very annoying. like i said i have to smack it so hard i cant even hear thru my monitors in order for it not to double trigger. its also double triggering when im hitting F5 to audition samples

yeah ive tried resetting it to default...ive tried everything i can think of

i have the jjos free. ive tried uninstalling it and re-installing it multiple times with no success
