Just switched from 1k to 2kxl, So Ive been attempting to approach chopping on the 2kxl as follows-
Ive always chopped a break, saved it as a separate program so i can use it for another beat if i want, and then would do my drums however i did them, lets say kick-trk1, snr-trk2, hat-trk3. Then i would chop the sample and do the same thing, save it as a new program and then play my samples on trk 4.
When i do this in the 2kxl, I end up messing something up somehow. I made a beat, did the drums as i stated, lets say the drum pgm was called "sly" and the sounds were called "water" and now i go to play the samples and all 3 drum tracks are now playing the sounds from "water" instead of the drums from "sly" Its like when I make a new pgm it dominates the other ones lol...
what am I doin wrong here?
