Hello all,

I did a search but couldn't find any results to help so I do apologise if this has been covered before and if so could someone kindly link me to the thread.

Ok.

Got MPC Studio for Xmas... followed the instructions on how to install drivers then software then content.

Opened up the MPC software with the Studio turned on and all seemed fine... the MPC is sending and receiving signals fine from hardware to software...

So i proceed to "Unlock my MPC" fill out all my details but in the box where I assume you input the serial number I keep getting the following message

"You have not yet attached your hardware controller. To register your MPC software, you must attach the MPC hardware"

Like i said before.. all is attached and seems to be working, I'm triggering samples and laying down patterns all from the hardware so can't make any sense of this.

Can anyone assist with this issue please?

Thanks

are you using a usb3 slot to activate? Try a 2.0 if you can.

did you do the firmware 1.10 update?

Hi,

Yeah I am currently using 2.0 USB slot and I have also updated the firmware to version 1.10... still getting the same message though.

Its weird because I can actually sit here and chop samples / make songs etc via hardware and software but I keep getting that annoying white noise sound everyone 30seconds obvious because I haven't unlocked the MPC, which is not working for me at all.

:hmmm:

UPDATE

I spoke to InMusic (UK) and the issue I was having is apparently a rare one where my computer and MPC were communicating / working fine BUT not detecting each other which seemed strange as I was able to make beats but not unlock the hardware.

ANYWAY...

A simple call to them and they had Dan send over a SysEX file to me which I had to load into the MPC so it could re-serialise itself.

I had received the file from Dan within a few hours of making the call and the whole process after that took about 10 seconds.

All is working now.

Anybody else have this problem just call the tech support team in your country and they will sort it.

Peace
