Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hey! You know it's gift giving time! It's the holidays and while your sittin around drinking some nog, you can play around with some new sounds on your MPC 500.

Drums on bank A, bass on bank B, comps/pads on bank C, and leads on bank D.


Here's one way to use em...

Make an empty 2 bar sequence. Put one program on track 1 and the other program on track 2. Leave that sequencer on overdub and mess around with all the banks on track 1. If you made a sound you didn't like, hold down the erase button and the offending pad. Got a good groove going? Switch to track 2 and add some more drums to the groove. Mute track 1 and start making a new groove on track 2.... hey your live composing now!!!

Oh yeah, leave full level off and mess around with some velocity... some of those C bank sounds will do some cool things with changing velocity.
