Hi all, I recently picked up a 3000 which is now the centre of my studio but also have a 2500 with JJOS 128XL that I want to use as well (chopping samples to dump to the 3000 and playback of various samples, additional midi sequencing).
So what I'm trying to do is have the 2500 synced to the 3000 and use the 2500 in multi-timbral mode.
Everything is synced up as follows (and working except for multi-timbral mode):
Midi out D of the 3000 is going to Midi in 1 of the 2500. The 3000 is running Vailixi OS and set to Sync out all. 2500 is running JJOS 128XL and set to slave and multi-timbral mode is on.
The issue I'm having is that the entire sequence on the 2500 (all tracks) plays whenever play is pressed on the 3000 regardless of whether the track on the 2500 should be muted or not
So if the track in the 3000 that is sending midi out data to the 2500 is set to off, the track will still play on the 2500. In fact the 2500 plays regardless of whether there is any track sending midi data to the 2500. The only way I can get it to work as I want is to manually mute tracks on the 2500 which is a pain.
Not really sure what I'm doing wrong so any input welcome. All my other midi gear connected to the 3000 works fine so maybe it's a bug with 128XL...
Also wondering if it's possible to sync the 'song' mode on two MPCs? So as the 3000 plays through the different sequences of a song the 2500 does so in sync, have tried this but with no joy as yet.
