Hi I just successfully installed the Element drivers and Essentials software on my laptop. Admittedly,
my laptop meets the mimimum requirements to run the software (Pentium i3 2.4 GHZ, 4MB Ram. It works as a standalone...barely a 3% hit to my CPU. However, as a VST it crushes the cpu in Live....like 50% with obvious audio artifacts during playback. I raised the buffer rate in Ableton's preferences and it made no difference beyond increasing my latency. Ayone else with a similar setup.experience this. By the way, I was just using my Laptop's MME drivers, not my interface or its ASIO drivers. Would installing ASIOFORALL to use with my Realtek sound chip help? Does anyone else with similar specs have this kind of issue? I was contemplating the MPC Studio for my laptop (as I really just bought the element for my iPad to use with iMPC Pro, and am still looking for a lightning to USB connector) but, am wondering if I really have a computer that can handle it.
