A bit OT but in the same vein. I've just copped a 500 for quite cheap and the seller said this about the jog wheel,
This unit only has one functional problem. The jog wheel has become unresponsive, the encoder needs replacing. though as it stands the encoder will still respond if you take the silver wheel off and pull the encoder shaft upwards while turning it. obviously not ideal live so you will want to replace it with an encoder from MPCstuff.com
Do you think Deoxit could resolve this issue or am i better off just getting a new encoder??
Cheers
holy shit dude,. i was so close to buying that exact 500.. i remember the pull up part and knew i could fix that easy.. I'm always keeping my eye out for a spare.. lol.. thats hella funny!!! congrats on that MP man, glad to see it went to a good home

as soon as I see it I hit buy it now. Bargain as long as it's only problems are those he advised of.
What's funny is, I have only lusted after the 500 since seeing your custom White job. That shit is so slick.
