SOOO i just got the mpc Renny today and i was trying to record from my phone using a 3.5MM Stereo TRS Male to Dual 1/4" TS Male Splitter Patch Cable(3S1-4N1X2). PROBLEM was i wasn't getting any sound what so ever. I had white noise but i fix that by adjusting somethings and i could hear what was played throw my computer. Just not what was being played on my phone to sample. HELP PLEASE!! I WANT TO START MAKING MUSIC BUT I CANT WIITHOUT SAMPLING FIRST...

don't quote me, but i'm certain most new phones are TRRS

using a TRS cable will not work. think you need one of those TRRS to TRS adapters and then a standard TRS 3.5mm like you have should work.

Something ive been trying to fix at home lately cos i cant play music from my iphone without having the jack half inserted.

You could always transfer your phone audio files to your computer and then drag them into the Ren software from there. No extra lossy AD/DA conversion steps either.
