Hello,

I am recording my hats with note repeat and it sounds fine while the recording is in progress and when I play it back I'm getting kick or some random pad.
Does this mean the sensors are failing or something?

nah that's not a sensor problem, playback dosen't use the sensors.

not sure what could be causing that, but what i can tell you is this: before i read the mpc500 manual, i didn't have a clue what i was doing. nothing seemed to work.

reset the mpc to factory settings. try again then get back to us.

Your 500 may be suffering from a brain-fart. Might have to reinstall OS 1.31.

Also if you are using Fat pads, unwanted triggering can happen. Solution is either to drill bigger holes for the nipples or reinstall your old stock pads.

For now, do a little detective work on your own. Check your programs and settings. Maybe a mute group is activated or a MIDI plug is inserted and not in use. He is definitely a weird little machine and sensitive to just a hairline of movement. When you save, I find it better to save Programs and Samples then save the Sequence after separately because Saving Everything seems to be too much and things get glitched or lost.

Master the 500 and never deal with petty shit like this again.
