Digging in India

Hey Fam, hope your new year is a good one.

Going to India on the weekend for a few weeks, namely Cochi (Kochin) Goa / Gokarna
Anyone been diggin over there?

Keen to score some Indian Jazz or some bollywood stuff.

Avoiding major cities!

(guess I'll put my first post here) Hey, check out http://www.verygoodplus.co.uk/ and go into the sub forum "Diggers Guide" and search India. Super helpful website/people have used to tonnes of times when I'm away from home. Have fun.

Im in Goa and have spend a long times in India........Not seen any records yet and doubt you will either.BUT-you could cruise around the cd kiosks ect and pick up some very interesting unique Indian bollywood,Temple music ectectect..quite often you will here something as your strolling by and just go and check that out.Also carry a portable recorder.Plenty of noise over here (lol)

I've been to Goa twice and haven't spotted any record stores as well. However, I believe you surely can find some places to dig in big cities like Dehli or Mumbai.

thanks for the replies, ended up finding some down in Cochi (Kochin) they were pretty beat up but grabbed 5 in good condition, im sure there are more down that way.

Yeah, had no luck in Goa either, found a shop about an hour or 2 out that had records but it was mostly western stuff.

Sent IllGreen a sneaky pic, will try load it up to here later.

Didnt go there just for diggin, but diggin's in the blood, cant go anywhere without getting dusty (much to my partners disgust)

plenty of timbaland style loops and tablas on what i grabbed!
