@petegoodliffe Hey Pete. How's the 1.8 update coming along. Are we close to a release?

Pete Goodliffe ‏@petegoodliffe 50m50 minutes ago

@corydgipson Close, yes. Been so busy getting it polished I haven't nattered that much.

@petegoodliffe @Corydgipson Awesome. I'm real excited to get this one.

yea, here is their 2015 Winter Namm Product guide

No mention of 1.8 software. not that I'm rushing (it doesn't matter when to me) but I guess we have to wait a little longer for it

So since those new Akai midi keyboards have a screen on them like Maschine Studio, we can only guess that the new MPC will have a screen like that on it too? I'm hoping so. Plus some softer pads would be nice.

MPC users: v1.8 is near release. QA for all the new awesome is finishing up; it'll come out shortly after the NAMM madness dies down.

Uh... is it just me or do these (especially the Tom Cat) sound like total dogshit?

And why can't they find someone to demo their gear that has at least some level of skill?

Ready for 1.8 tho :-D

It's not just you. The products they are coming out with these days are meh. Gone are the days of the $2000 flagship products. In with the $300 cookie cutter products. When he said that the Tom cat was meant to sit right beside the rhythm wolf... :hmmm: Why not just build a great analog drum synth that has ALL of the sounds and features in one unit.? Meh. They are after the bedroom producers. Not the pro crowd anymore.

Personally I don't care about 1.8. I'm just here waiting for a new standalone mpc. I know I know, my wait may be loooooooong. Lol

And this dude Dan... He's got to be brilliant some other way for them to keep putting him in front of people like they do. But at least the makeup is gone. Lol
