Behringer has trademarked the name Odyssey, dirty ****.

They are talking up full sized keys and full MIDI controls/patch saving for $500.

They should leave Odyssey to Korg and go after a different clone.

I don't know if Beringer can release the ARP Odyssey without legal issue, because Korg is officially
releasing ARP Odyssey. The new version is not a clone, I can call it genuine ARP Odyssey.

They are serious enough to recently apply to use Odyssey as a trademark, and say they are going to do the Odyssey for $500 and a polyphonic synth for under $1000.

Uli Behringer even made a couple of posts himself to a thread discussing the Behringer Odyssey plans on other forums, confirming their interest and plans for the Odyssey nd poly, along with price points. He is a piano/keyboard player, and has been interested in doing synths for a while, he did a prototype poly years ago.

Uli is also talking about having analysed many classic synths in the R&D process, and plans to manufacture new SSM synth chips using their chip fabrication facilities.

^^^ Folks that sample are always talking about obscuring their samples. At the least the ones I know.

Omnisphere 2 allows you to add your own samples... and no one here is talking about it...

That new capability is going to be huge. Just need to watch the first 5 minutes of Eric's video to see that this thing can change the way people process and / or replay samples.

WAY more looking forward to Omnisphere than MPC 1.8. Or 1.9 or 2.0 for that matter.

I mentioned that feature months ago, and somebody responded by saying omni is maxed out and perfected and doesn't need to be upgraded the upgrade is 199.99 I do think that is a bit steep, if you own it already. Also there are a few synths that have that feature already, but omni is just the best to me.

Behringer from what I have noticed has started making better quality products of late. Some of their older products were good but they suffered from many older products having the same problems. Quality control seems to be much better of late.
An electronic engineer that I know personally who fixes gear in Maryland and who worked at Moog once has all sorts of behringer gear in his studio. I remember him telling me that often you make a minor soldering change and the gear stops buzzing, or what have you. Or you change this part and a mixer becomes the equivalent of a more expensive one. Fixes that a repair shop can do in 30 minutes.. Protech here in Maryland costs $90/hour.
I just bought an electronic drum kit made by behringer and we gigged with it last week and it was perfect. I also use the K3000FX amp made by behringer. I had one and liked it so much I bought another. Each I got used for $150. They are excellent at 75 watts each. (75 x 4 channels thus 300 watts, not 300 watts from one channel)

I'd like to try that Behringer kit out, but nowhere in the UK has even heard of it.

Seriously dude, who gives a shit about Omnisphere?

At the 2.5 minute mark I realized there wasn't anything new about it at all and stopped the video. Maybe granular time stretching is new to Spectrasonics but it's been available (in other much better software) for years.
