Hey, I'm new to the forums and the whole world of MPC. I recently just brought a MPC Renaissance. I figured, since I was diving into the whole MPC era, that I would get the latest model. Plus, I'm pretty much a software kind of guy. So, the Renaissance looked pretty sweet to me. Anyway, I was wondering as to how some of you guys' workflows were. Preferably, with the Renaissance. But, I'm still interested in seeing how some of you other guys with other MPC's work. For example, what is your best approach in creating drums? I'm used to individually sequencing MIDI for each instrument, separately in Logic. But, with the Renaissance, I know you are capable to add multiple layers and stuff. So, I was just interested in seeing different approaches toward drums, specifically. Like, would it be better if I put each instrument (i.e. kick drum, snare, hi hats, etc.) on each separate track itself within the Renaissance software? Or, is there a more efficient way to sequencing on the Renaissance that I am unaware of. Let me know you guys' thoughts on this.
