MPC Ren - software move notes freely without turning OFF TC

In MPC Software, not on hardware

Is there a shortcut i can press to be able to move notes freely (no grid snap) without turning off the TC (Timing Correct)

That's kinda the point of time correct.

I don't own a renaissance but with other mp's you can turn off TC then move an event anywhere (you can always turn it on again after).

And with TC on you can move an event to specific areas depending on what TC setting you have engaged.

anyone got some answers?

I would expect pressing CMD or Apple key then moving the notes freely without having to turn TC on or OFF all the time.

Also the grid disappears when i turn off TC from lets say 1/16 would be nice to have the grid there and still freely move the notes around by pressing a key command

Maybe i just need to turn off a snap setting?

you can only move notes according to whatever TC you have on

in order to move notes without snapping to grid and without menu digging... try holding note repeat and then pressing whatever you have TC set to to disable it.. then when you need TC back on just hold note repeat and press corresponding F-Key again to re-enable

quickest way to do what you're trying to accomplish i believe

Hold shift while you're dragging it.

Mine seems to jump in steps of 8/10 ticks , is there any way to move in in shifts?

This is definitely good to start with.

Shift + keyboard arrow keys (left or right). Moves the note by 4 samples per shift. List Edit allows you to shift a note by a single sample. Main disadvantage of List Edit is it only allows you to edit one note at a time.
