Best/favorite DAW for the Renaissance..?

What's your favorite DAW in conjunction with the Renaissance?

Reason. You've got to love the synths.

YeaH, I'm a reason user too!
Lay down my beats in mpc, then import them to reason add extra things and mix...great daw ever!

So how about "Live 9" -- anyone knows or have any experience with that DAW -- or maybe "Logic Pro" and/or "Reaper 4"..?

Any pointers appreciated.

a few of us use reaper. reaper has an optional install driver called rearoute that directs audio from one program into reaper live. so you can have 16 stereo tracks running in mpc routed into reaper. i find it hella easy. i have a template set up with tracks set to rearoute inputs. i have like 5 stereo tracks dedicated to different drum parts within programs i've made, plus four more stereos for chops or hybrid patches for bass, and i can add more if i need them but that tends to do me, as i add the rest with live instruments/synths/reaper audio edits etc.

Yep like Fdodds Reaper user here with rearoute.

you don't lose the mpc workflow, but you get reaper's mixing power.

I also use mpc software and reaper live onstage with a rearoute setup.....

I use Ableton with my MPC and Push... No Need for another DAW.

I can confirm this. It just works great. If you are a minimalist (if you need max. 16 tracks) you even can work in real time with mpc and ableton through the virtual outs without exporting stuff. works just fine for me. The plugin seems to run even more stable in ableton than the standalone app (for me).

Used it with Ableton Live Intro 9 and Logic Express 8 & Logic Pro X, too, although it's buggy at the moment and won't load beyond MIDI controller setup; brings me down to sync it to Reason and go with it.

wish the plug in worked properly for Cubase.. haven't tried in a while
