Wanted a MPC Studio for mobile beat making even tho I have a MPC 1000 but it got annoying to pack up and lug around and the studio just made sense. Found a studio on ebay for $260, made a bid and won it. I slightly was having second thoughts and was thinking if i should spend the money but part of me wanted it. The seller lived close by so we met in person. In the description he said "very light use,new condition" he shows me the unit and the screen had some scratches! It wasnt bad so i didnt mind. This **** didnt have the box, the USB cable (REALLY!!!!) or the midi adapters but he said its been sitting on his desk untouched for a year so what that hell happened? Anyways, he said he will hold on to the money in case i didnt want it. Go home, play with it and im not satisfied. The workflow is not as fast as my Renaissance and theres glitches in chop mode (not with my ren tho) I updated to 1.7.2 and it fixed the chop mode glitch somewhat . Everything else was fine but chop mode and the scroll knob for the qlinks really annoys me which made me very unhappy and i felt some regret. I sent a text to dude saying im not 100 percent i wanna keep this! Sent another explaining some other probs and called him twice, He is nowhere to be found and i guess im stuck with this dam thing. I think i jumped the gun way too fast and wasnt thinking straight. I should just stuck with my 1000 that i know so well and im super fast with. I will try to contact him today but i think hes gone for good. Great story huh! !!??? So does anyone here have a MPC studio and wanna gimme some tips with workflow??? I have a Ren so this thing is gonna take awhile to get used to.

I can either sell it myself or see if 1.8 helps my workflow at all.

based on your description sounds like you've bought a stolen item...

you can try to return it through ebay, in your purchase history under feedback button there is "more actions" drop down menu >"return this item"

Its kind of strange that it is glichy and your Ren isnt. I have had the ren and I have a studio now and work flow feels just as fast on the studio as it did on the ren for me. If your not feeling the studio then sell it you may be able to make a little profit back.
