@gws_audio Bring it on! I'll show you some new toys the morning (no screenshots).

Good Stuff! Teamwork!
I hope they include the flats and sharps like maschine does. Can't wait till NI put them in the Komplete Kontrol S61 so I dont have to open maschine(nice trick NI) then back to the Ren then back to maschine; Uh-oh, I hear more Ab minor or Eb minor progressions in this MPC beat. Im learning easier following the lighted keys....

They goin hard! Thanks to my boys G Smizzle and P Geezy!

****if the MPC Software v1.8 detects sample BPM/tempo that would seal the NDC CHOP SHOP deal for a while. Unless the holy grail: real-time time-stretching, is one of the added surprises Pete TWeased about.

So now I know the trick on how to get new features on The Ren software. Submit your feature requests to NI Maschine's product managers. After they're implemented on the Maschine then the Ren's developers will follow with their next update.

Try it...works like a charm.

Midi Learn for chords, this one shouldn't be too hard to implement. This way users can program their own chords, hopefully this makes its way in there soon ;)

Scrubbing audio is basically AUDIO TRACKS(mpc5000)

dj felix wrote:all the news of 1.8 is fantastic
but I would trade all for automatic recognition bpm and a more precise time stretch

 might not have to....next video

i guess they did it; maschine enjoys Time Machine Pro in kontakt. The integration of Air's Transfusor2 like they did the synth Hybrid3 would scare maschine.

:hmmm: Why a NEW video?...Are they gonna intergrate it next?

all things considered, I think I got wayyyy more than I paid for when I bought my Studio. they just keep adding more stuff- one surefire way to build a brand and customer loyalty. other companies ought to take notes here.

Yes, compare Akai's policy with AVID/Protools that monetize/nickel and dime away their loyal fan base.

If we criticize Akai/Numark when they screw up then it's only fair we praise and support them when they get it right.

BTW, Pete and Geoff are GREAT. Maybe tbeir deadpan humour (like some London East end thug from a Guy Ritchie film) doesn't translate well to American audiences.

They know their stuff and communicate it well to musicians. I would buy a series of training vids from those guys. Way better than some posturing, weed-hazed hip hop wannabe slurring "Ya know what I'm sayin'?" fifty times in a five minute video.

lol amen to that, they we're plenty clear to me,that should always be the point. And I for one appreciate they took the time to make the video. Can't wait to get my paws on this update! chopping is going to get far more interesting :worthy:

Yeah, let's not be happy with their acting or the update alone. Let's demand professionals.

(I think they're doing just fine)

Pete and Geoff are the best in making/explaining/showing the MPC development
for Akai.

Yes. You have to timestretch the entire sample though. Can't do just one slice. But when timestretching the sample, all slices are still retained.

So basicallly we can chop and get the track done; re-organizing the order of the slices........Change our mind and slow the song down or speed it up......USE TIME-STRETCHING on the original sample to get the slices to FOLLOW TEMPO?

brilliant.
