Santa brought me a Midisport 2x2 to help with PT(mbox)...

just got my my midisport to midi sync the mpc to my mbox.....just a few things....If i run synths out the mpc midi outs....should i continue to stay with this? or control the synths now through the midisport's outs?....I plan to sync the midi out of the midisport to the MPC's midi in so I could use the transport bar in PT LE to control the MPC's sequencer, and still record each track one by one...am i on the right track?

also...problem #2......i only have 1 usb port....i got an old 4 port hub but it says that the hub does not have enough power to run the mbox efficiently(and when I try to start PT, the mbox can't be read, even though it's there in device manager)......any suggestions....anyone ever have this problem?

yo if u only have 1 usb port im thinkin u have an older slower computer.

you might wanna look at buying a new computer so that pt and ur mbox/midi 2x2 work properly and fast. just thinkin

nah, it's a dell thats like 1.5 years old, i opted for 1 usb because they also had 1firewire(which I needed for my external hd's and ipod).....thsi is fast and capable......I was just wondering if anyone new of any hubs that would work and be a quick fix....

not sure bout ur problem but i have a question about the midisport would this make it so i can setup the mpc button when press play to record at the same time into diff tracks? how u understand

go buy a USB 2.0 PCI card. it'll set you back 30-50 bucks. get one with four ports. and bobs your uncle

oh damn....i shoudl have mentioned......It's a laptop.....maybe thats why you thought it was old....my fault...the one thing I wanna know is that if there is any other usb hubs out there that would power both the midisport and mbox at the same time(into the one port on the comp) thanks.

can anyone anwser my question from a view reaplies back ??
