keep in mind this is a brief skim over many of these features.. many of them are even better than how they seem in this video IMO -

NDC, for example, is very open ended and can be used many different ways. being able to chop a sample, export to new program, and edit chops AFTER the fact is huge. and you dont have to do it in program edit like Dan showed. its great to be able to offset and adjust slices like this of course - but you can also just go back into sample edit and adjust individual slice points without having to convert again. adjust slice, even while sequence is playing.. press main key and adjustments are still there .. all your slices are automatically adjusted in the program. simple workflow enhancements like this are great!! the example in video is also cool and can be useful but many mpc users used to Sample Edit will find it very dope being able to adjust chops after the fact in sample edit and not have to export program again. and the bonus..... you're sample is still ONE piece... so you can process, edit, etc.. without having to do same process to every individual chop.... soooo nice!

aight anyways just wanted to chime in... excited for 1.8 to be out here in the world

Update looks great, keep up the good work Akai. On the topic of chords: One thing I'd love to see is the ability to do a simple midi learn for our own user chords, have the ability to save them, and start somewhat a nice catalog for progressions etc..

Korg has had this technology for years, cubase 8 finally brought it out in their latest version, I'd def like to see this in the Mpc Ren.

Chopping samples seems like it's going to be faster now, alot like my brain works, and has worked on the jjos for years, thanks Akai for finally bringing this one in too ;)

Great Job!
