Hey I'm a hardware guy I use the 2500 with a boat load of keyboards and outboard gear... I record into protools using the 8 outs on my 2500. I wanna pick up a MPC Studio for the mobility and to add a software daw to my setup.. I wanna be able to make sequences on my 2500 and load them into the MPC software to work on while I'm on the road and to take advantage of the features of the Mpc software. My question is how do I load the 2500 sequences in The MPC software? Is their anybody doing this?

The Ren will read your MPC2500 projects and you can export them back to the 2500 if you need to, although you'll find the conversion process in both directions is hit and miss, don't expect perfection - e.g. effects ignored, filters and amp envelopes need tweaking, mixer levels will be a bit off etc.

In reality it's really more suited to a one time import into the MPC Software followed by some time tweaking to set up the project to your liking. If you send it back to the 2500 you'll have to tweak all over again (and avoid using unsupported MPC Software features).

That's for entire projects, you may find sequences on their own less problematic.

download the mpc software demo from akai's website. It will let you load legacy mpc formarts etc in the demo.

ok I downloaded version 1.7 i loaded a sequence up and all of my samples were sped up and everything was off and out of key. What am I doing wrong also theres a air noise playing for 5 seconds like every 15 seconds. Have anybody experience this?

That noise is intentional in demo mode and is not present in registered version.
