Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

only one midi track in connection with my external synth(Yamaha MX-48) has no sound when exported through Akai sequencer. It sounds well when it is on playback but when exported, it has no sound as if nothing is recorded. It doesn't even indicate any visual wave signal. The other tracks including samples and VSTIs are okay. Why this midi track has no sound? Maybe this Akai sequencer is designed to be incapable of exporting signals from external instruments? I checked every possible matters but still can't find the solution.

That's because it's MIDI data, no real audio. Re-sample your MIDI track inside the Ren and just treat it as a sample and create a new program and track with it. I had the same problem at first.

Thanks man!! :-) how do you re-sample MIDI signal from an external instrument? just like recording typical CDs or vinyls by plugging it into audio inputs? :-)

Go into Sample Rec mode (shift+Sample Edit on the hardware) and select Resample as Input Source. Then hit record and just hit play (mute all other tracks, except for the synth track/MIDI track you want to sample).
