My response was actually taking the piss. Whilst the 500 is a great bit of kit, the OP has given no indication as to what he wants the machine for. Is he just starting out and wants to make beats? Does he intend to play live. Does he have other gear he wants tk sync?

Give us these deets and we'll be able to give serious answers.

its not about the screen, screw the screen. i just use my ears, its better, i like being forced to use my ears vs the screen, i come up with stuff i like better using my ears…my 1000 screen is def nice :)

Not even just that but I use pretty much all the trim mode effects. Just not having those would be frustrating as **** to me. Strange enough, I never use auto-chop though.
