your sig is out of date
you may bug out in the sample edit window, the top line is for editing the sample. the bottom line is for re-naming it and / or deleting it (this will make more sense as you use it)
Once you have a sample in it, make sure its on the top line (if your sample is selected it shows on both lines - but it will flash on the top line. ), roll the wheel once and it will jump to the end of the name, add a number in there with the keypad and hit enter. it will copy. (and your new sample will display as the sample being edited)
If you want to delete, make sure bottom row is flashing, press "-" then enter, it will delete.
Stick drums on their own output channel, to layer, you have to use two voices, but its got 8 so its plenty for drums.
I dont completely truncate and discard, i will set start and end, sequences, adjust start and end then discard. seems to work better for me
