Hey TT_LAB you cant please everyone all of the time so don't let that bother you. Its working great for me so I thank you sir. As I said I'll just re-install when the web release drops to ensure that all is good. Meanwhile 1.8 is very DOPE.

Oh and yes I used the same method as he explained to download it straight from the official website itself and he was right. I commend all those who are waiting for official release because I understand. I was just a little anxious.

Really..? Don't get all insecure on us. We are very appreciative. I never herd of the link thing for 1.7. i missed that one. kinda corny of pete to act like its a leak when its from their website.

But for you to get all upset cause a few of us where skeptical of ruining our computers. You where not leaking an a damn MP3. it was a **** piece of software! And granted we appreciate anything you may help us with. word bond.
But who the **** are you! nobody even knows what the hell TT stands for. and we are support to just trust you. Let me guess we are support to feel guilty for not trusting a stranger on the damn forums with my thousand dollar computer. Like all have said thx for the hook up. but don't act like a kid when we are skeptic of something like this. its a damn software leak. If someone was to scared to do it **** em. if they did they got hooked up on your account. just be humbly proud.

make sure 1.8 works with this version of mac OS X ??

What version of X do I need to be on to run 1.8 ?

thats almost a shame... i was really hoping that an update that related to Mac 10.10 was going to me relief from nasty crackle from the software that is caused by my modifying effects in a session..
also the latency between Bit audio & core audio is off the charts & compensating in the latency window makes no difference..
was really hoping for improvements there so i guess ill just have to wait & see what eventuated..

there is a 10.10 firmware update on the alai Ren page.

I'm anxious but I'll just wait for the official link.

Running 1.8 on Mavericks no problem, I'm not aware of any changes to requirements, so I assume Lion is still the minimum.

Thanks for the prompt reply. One more quick question: Is it necessary to have the 1.1 firmware for 1.8? I tried several times to run the firmware update,but always failed (MPC Ren is not found), so I am still on the old firmware (which works fine with 1.7.2).

It's officially live now! Check for updates in the MPC software.

this is not new for 1.8. the 10.10 software driver was on the page for a while now.

Hey guys, I just noticed that there are 2 downloads on the akaipro site. One is 1.8 software and below there is 1.8 update… Anybody know what's up? I assume you have to download the sw first, followed by the update? Just a little insecure here.
