When loading samples I assign them directly to pads .
However if for some reason on the main screen where it says A01:----:DJ RUBS If the cursor is on DJ RUBS and I inadvertently move the data wheel, the assignment is changed...

same thing can happen in the program window:

if the cursor is on one of the samples names, then moving the data wheel changes also the sample assignment ... I found this distracting and time consuming to put back in order, if I did not write somewhere the original pad assignment.
Is there a way (other than always paying attention to what I am doing
) to prevent the original assignment (at loading time) from being inadvertently changed in these 2 ways ?
