there are indeeds hundreds of uses.
you could play a softsynth of any audio in your DAW and have the MPC sync'd so as to write a beat to it.
or have the MPC as master and use the MPC as a tranport, ie to control the DAW.
or with MPC as master to your DAW and other gear you can let your creative muscle felx and go nuts.
