hi im trying to start to work out how to get reaper and the ren working together, im fairly new to both but as ive been writing and performing on the mpc i now wanna start recording into a daw, the trouble is before i start i need to work out whether i set the mpc up in 32 or 64 mode is there a way of checking this? as ive downloaded 32 bit version of reaper but it is possible i might have gone for the 64 bit version of the rens software. so as i say to start with how do i check, if i have gone for 64 is it a problem to change it regarding the stuff ive written, and any pointers to routing the ren to reaper midi and audio would be much appropriated
cheers people

Easiest way is to open the MPC Software's About screen. It should state whether it runs in 32 or 64 bit mode.

On a Mac (since it's a Universal Binary) you can easily change between the two operating modes by selecting the app in Finder, pressing CMD+I and select Open in 32-bit mode.

On a PC you need to specify which version you want to install. Please consult the manual for that or carefully read the installation instructions. Not sure about this, though.

32 bit projects and 64 bit projects should be perfectly interchangeable. 64 bit mode lets you address more RAM, but if you didn't use specific plug-ins restricted to either mode OR use plug-ins that have both versions available, you should be fine.

Just give it a try. If it doesn't work, just don't use it. There's demo versions, you know? ;)

Mpc renaissance, rearoute and reaper, do I need something else to sync em? Got them talking ie mapping for plugins and stuff but can't get them to sync, they are running as stand alones. Any help appreciated, think I've sorted the 16 to 32 channel issue sorted.
