Hi all anyone got any pointers on syncing the ren to reaper as a standalone on windows, I'm using reroute to hook them up everything seems to work like a dream apart from I can't get em to sync, is the another bit of software I need? It's seems like it should work, reaper sees the mpc mtc public channel when I arm the playback to sync but just won't start when I start the mpc. I don't mind syncing the other way round if anyone has any ideas I'm all eyes.
If I can get this bit sorted I'm flying, great bit of kit, great forum.
Cheers in anticipation

LoopBe1 is the software you need to sync the two. Install that and I'll try to copy and paste the help I got from Dazastah on this very site.

Also make sure you have Rearoute installed with Reaper (you just tick the box on installation, although the latest version [4.77] has it preticked on your behalf)

So this one goes out to nubian, as earlier in the post was a question to sync reaper with the mpc...

i found a way with another little software, of course free, called loopbe1.. It's a virtual midi cable and works much like the iac driver in osx... It enables midi to transfer between applications...

So when i push play start on mpc, it plays the mpc software and reaper at the same time...(via mmc) You can also sync using mtc..(reaper slaves to mpc software)

IT's late and i'm typing in bed, but i;ll update the post 2moro night.. (i'm working 2moro!!!)

here's the link if you care to try it out...

Nice one. Downloaded this morning and have it installed. Now trying to set it all up so that the Ren controls the start of Reaper.

Any tips

This is great info and I'm getting there, downloaded loopbe1 and got in set up reaper seems happy to start stop and rewind when told to but there's no tempo match if I adjust the tempo on the ren, reaper stays the same, am I missing something obvious here, looking at the other threads this ain't mentioned so I'm assuming I'm missing am obvious setting. Thanks for the help so far im heading in the right direction

You have to input the tempo into Reaper manually, I haven't found a way to automatically sync the two tempos, although that would be very, very handy indeed as it would mean tempo related effects will always match up.

Hmnnn... :?:

Oh OK, so I've reached the limit, cool il get stuck in, seems a bit strange that when it's receiving mtc It doesn't sync though, I thought that was the point being midi time code and all that. So it just enables the transport keys?
Thanks for the heads up, opened up a load more options
If anyone knows a midi sync with timing work around, hit us up.
