I know haow to copy by bar but I need to know how to copy by track. for example, I have a 4 bar loop with drums on track 1 and violin on track 2. I want to copy 2 bars of track 2 and annd them to the end so I have a 6 bar loop, 4 bars with tracks 1 and 2 playing and then two bars with just track 2 playing. Can anybody help me?

On the main screen change bars to 6, it will say "pressing do it will add blank bars after last bar" press do it. Now copy 2 bars from track two and place them at the star of bar 5 in track two.

Right but how do I "copy bars from track 2"? When I do that it copies all the tracks.

Make sure you have track 2 selected in the main screen and press edit. You should be at the copy screen now, in the time window it should show 001.01.00-007.01.00. Change 007.01.00 to 003.01.00, it should now say 001.01.00-003.01.00. In the other window where it says start, change the time to 005.01.00 and press do it . You should now hear track 1 and 2 for 4 bars and just track 2 for two more bars.

Make sure your in the "events" menu and not the "bars" menu.

But I really dont understand what I did. If I only started with a 4 bar loop why did that first screen read 001.01.00-007.01.00? And why did I change the screen to 005.01.00 on the right? I just dont understand how we got these numbers but you did exactly what I wanted. Can you explain it a little more or point me in the direction where I can learn it? I didnt find anything like that in the manual but its possible I missed. Is it in there?
Again big thanks man.

When you changed bars from 4 to 6 in the main screen you added two blank bars to your sequence hence the change from 001.01.00-005.01.00 to 001.01.00-007.01.00. You needed to change the value on the right to 005.01.00 to paste the copy of the 2 bars of the violin track at that time. Check out "The Editing Screeen" on page 69 in the manual.

#1 I forgot that I added 2 blank bars
#2 I was confusing the 7.01.00 as meaning I had 7 total bars.
I'm with ya now, but I'll still look for it in the manual.
Big thanks dude!!
